OUR MISSION

Our mission is to cease the violence in our community by encouraging families to get involved with churches, schools, community leaders and business owners to protect our children’s future.
Parents, you are the first line of defense. By having a more active role in your child’s/children’s lives, you can make a big difference in your child’s/children’s decisions that will need to be made in their future.
Children/Young Adults, there is more to you than people sometimes give you credit for. You are all smart, beautiful, and intelligent - we love you. Violence is not the answer to your problems. Violence creates more violence, hurt, pain, and causes confusion and lives to be lost.
When the members of a community come together as one with positive motivations, changes will occur!

D.A.P.S.S.A.V. (Drivers, Attendants, Parents, Students, and Schools Against Violence) was created by drivers and attendants who work for Alpha School Bus Company. During that time they have gotten to know many of these children - almost as if they were their own.

Drivers and attendants became sick of the increasing violence, the loss of lives, and the heart-broken families. As drivers we experience violence on our routes. Not only are the children's lives we transport at risk, so are ours. After transporting these children daily we become attached to them and we want to keep them safe from hurt, harm and danger.

With in the last month many children and young adults have lost their lives due to the violence that has been created. If we don’t take a stand now as a community, many more will follow. D.A.P.S.S.A.V., along with a host of sponsors and volunteers, are willing go beyond the call of duty to help save lives.
